Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) was on November 20th. Rev. Steven was in another TDOR service that day, so they will lead a TDOR service for us this Sunday. We will remember pain and celebrate joy. Skylar Conover is our guest musician!

Michael Servetus (born 1511; died October 27, 1553) was a Spanish physician, humanist, and theologian whose unorthodox teachings led to his condemnation as a heretic by both Protestants and Roman Catholics and to his being burned at the stake. His life had a major influence on early Unitarians and reaction against his death helped nurture the idea of religious tolerance. Our own Rev. Bill Nichols preaches on why we should remember and care about Michael Servetus.

Conflict happens. It is inevitable in families, workplaces, and all other human relationships. How can we deal with conflict in healthy, productive ways? In this service, Rev. Dr. Steven Gaines helps us consider the nature and causes of conflict and some strategies for navigating it. Jori Costello is our musician, and Skylar Conover performs an original song that includes interpersonal conflict.

The fourth and final message in the series will be “Dealing with Difficulty” and will consider how we can live and work together with people who may seem incompatible with us.
