CANCELLED – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services have been cancelled due to safety concerns about the icy conditions around UUFF.

December 22, 2022 by Fawn Smith

As we feared, the snow has not melted since the winter storm that came through on Thursday, and it is obvious that we would be putting folks at risk by holding the Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day Services. As much as we’d love to gather together in community this Holiday Season, his is safety concern that cannot be ignored.

So please stay safe, warm, well, and cozy…and we’ll plan to see everyone on Sunday, January 1, 2023!

Steven responds to that question from some work being done by the Unitarian Universalist Association. The service also includes a New Member Welcome Ceremony!

October 16 – “The Power of One Life”

October 11, 2022 by Fawn Smith

Michael Servetus (born 1511; died October 27, 1553) was a Spanish physician, humanist, and theologian whose unorthodox teachings led to his condemnation as a heretic by both Protestants and Roman Catholics and to his being burned at the stake. His life had a major influence on early Unitarians and reaction against his death helped nurture the idea of religious tolerance. Our own Rev. Bill Nichols preaches on why we should remember and care about Michael Servetus.
