March 15 – “Oh, the Good Old Days!”

March 12, 2026 by Fawn Smith

The belief that the past was somehow better than the present is, for the most part, a myth that is often repeated from one generation to the next. People tend to remember the good things and forget about the bad, especially when the hardships were suffered by others. This Sunday, Rev. John Johnson will talk about how our memories are shaped and how they influence our views of the present and our hopes for the future.

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Time (CDT) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/17HCqsTn8R/ and click on “Watch Live Video. March 8 – “Religion and the Founding Fathers”

March 4, 2026 by Fawn Smith

As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday, this is a good time to look at what our founders thought about religion and the separation of church and state. What were their religious beliefs? Did they see the U.S. as a Christian nation? Join us Sunday as Dr. Gene Vinzant explores the history of “Religion and the Founding Fathers.”

Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving begins this weekend, so we will “Spring forward” an hour on Sunday morning.

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Time (CT) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/19A84UUQtm/ and click on “Watch Live Video. He will invite us to build collective power with partners across NWA to address homelessness and related injustices throughout our Northwest Arkansas.

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Standard Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/17fbh8tE7d/ and click on “Watch Live Video. February 22 – “Optimism: Worth It?”

February 18, 2026 by Fawn Smith

These days, many people hesitate to envision positive change. Why get your hopes up? Dr. Doug Krueger will explain how this stance misunderstands both the nature and power of optimism….and the Choir will sing!

Choir members, please gather in the UUFF Sanctuary at 9:45am for rehearsal.

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Standard Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/18Jhr2C3m3/ and click on “Watch Live Video. February 8 – “UU History: May You Live in Interesting Times”

February 4, 2026 by Fawn Smith

Religions tend to have problems with their histories, especially when the historians recount differences in lived experience (actualities) versus the tenets they espouse. UU’s have our problems with history as well… we kept getting recorded as heretics, boundary pushers, and anti-authoritarians, sometimes to our serious detriment. How will we fare in this “interesting time?”

Speaker, Rev. Jim Parrish, served as minister of UUFF from 2014 until his retirement in 2021. He and his spouse Theresa love Fayetteville so much that they made it their home after retiring, and they continue to participate in the interesting fabric of northwest Arkansas’s political, ecological, and social justice life. Rev. Jim is pleased to share a service with fellow UUs at UUFF.

Due to the still icy and dangerous conditions of the roads around UUFF and our parking lot, we will be closed again this Sunday, February 1st, 2026! That being said, we are offering two options to join this Sunday’s 11am Service remotely online!

January 18 – “Toxic Productivity and the Constant Push for More”

January 14, 2026 by Fawn Smith

We started off the year talking about the need to slow down. How do we do that in a social structure that insists our worth is based on our work? In a culture that says our value depends on our productivity? This is an insidious concept that is prevalent today and throughout the history of western civilization. So, what do we do about it?

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Standard Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1D62PA7geD/ and click on “Watch Live Video. December 31, 2025 by Fawn Smith
