Children’s (ages 5-11) RE Online Meetings every other Thursday from 7-7:30pm

November 19, 2020 by Fawn Smith

Date: 11/19/2020
Time: 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Our Children’s Religious Exploration class for ages 5-11 is using the Soul Matters curriculum, which you can learn more about HERE.  Parents can find activities and discussion topics in the weekly email, and children are invited to take part in every-other-Thursday zoom meetups from 7-7:30pm. You can find zoom link/info in your weekly email (go to uufayetteville.org and click on “This Week” section). Contact Stephanie Bentley with specific questions.

This week our focus is on, “Listening before you try to help and heal others.” Our faith asks us to serve others. It’s part of our second UU Principle, “Justice, equity and compassion in human relations.” But sometimes when we try to help and heal others we assume we know exactly what they need, but we’re wrong! So what’s one of the ways our faith guides us into becoming a people of healing? It tells us to “Listen Before You Try to Help and Heal Others!”
