Benjamin Franklin is remembered as one of the key founding fathers of this country. He was a printer, scientist, inventor, and statesman. But what were his views on religion and living a moral life? Join us this Sunday as our own Dr. Gene Vinzant, Professor of History at Northwest Arkansas Community College, talks to us about one of his favorite people in American history.
You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Standard Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1DhEdHRsPv/ and click on “Watch Live Video. **Special note from Rev. Renée about next Sunday’s “Action Sunday” Project and this Sunday’s Share the Plate: On August 31, during the Action Sunday activities, we will make care packages for the unhoused. This will include travel toiletries and a kind, uplifting note. I am hoping that we can make 100 during our time together. This is a needed and important social justice action for our community. All ages are welcome to participate. We want YOU to help determine how many care packages we make. We need $500 to make 100. All loose cash and any specially-designated checks (please make out to UUFF and write “share plate” in the memo line) put in THIS Sunday’s offering plates will be used for this project. If you can spare a little extra for this worthy endeavor, it would really be put to good use. **
