UU Conversations – Noon Meetings online for all interested in learning more about UU and UUFF!

June 9, 2020 by Fawn Smith

Date: 06/09/2020
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Beginning Tuesday, June 9th, UUFF (Rev. Jim) will host a series of Tuesday/Thursday “UU Conversations” Zoom gatherings for anyone who is interested in finding out more about Unitarian Universalism and for those who want to explore what it means to be a member of the UUFF community!
Typically, we offer a 2-class series called “New UU” at UUFF in the Spring and Fall and invite recent visitors to attend the classes and enjoy dinner together as they learn about UU and our UU Fellowship. With the COVID-19 threat necessitating continued closure to all in-person gatherings, we are adapting to offer the classes/discussions on Zoom!
The basic plan is laid out below, but we will be flexible to the needs and desires of participants…because we can! The meetings will begin at NOON and end by 1:30pm.
  • Tuesday, June 9th, Open Discussion (History, theology, current events)
  • Thursday, June 11th, UU Sources and what is yours? – short statements of belief and review of our Sources.
  • Tuesday, June 16th, UU History and Theology
  • Thursday, June 18th, UU Fellowship History
  • Tuesday, June 23rd, UUFF’s Mission, Goals and Leaders.
There is no need to sign up in advance. All interested folks are invited to join the “UU Conversations” Zoom Room starting at NOON on the above dates. The link to join these meetings is in your weekly email (can be found by going to “This Week” section on uufayetteville.org).
