November 23 – “Annual Bread Service”

November 19, 2025 by Fawn Smith

How do we give thanks when the world around us is not conducive to gratitude? How do we fully move into this holiday season when things feel so fractured? Dear ones, lean into this Beloved Community. At our historic service this year, we will welcome our new members and celebrate one another with delicious breads and spreads. This is also a Choir Sunday!

Choir Members, please meet at 9:45am in the Sanctuary for rehearsal.

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Daylight Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/17WeGy6NFw/ and click on “Watch Live Video. November 9 – “Forgiving Betrayal”

November 5, 2025 by Fawn Smith

“Forgive and forget” is a commonly used phrase in today’s society. While most people use it as a way to encourage others to let go of menial transgressions, it can quickly turn into poor advice for those who have been hurt by betrayal, abuse, and other deep relationship-wounding events. Join us as Kali Cook defines what forgiveness truly is and how to achieve inner peace despite the deep wounds of betrayal.

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Daylight Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1GEsdqWW3L/ and click on “Watch Live Video. October 26 – “The Epic Sound of Music Sing-Along”

October 22, 2025 by Fawn Smith

Bring your lunch! Bring your friends! Let’s watch the VonTrapps fight fascism together! Lyrics will be provided, and it is choir Sunday, but no need for choir rehearsal this time! We will take a quick pause at noon for those that must leave to make their exit, and for those of us staying to grab our lunches before coming back together to finish the movie! And hey, does anyone have a popcorn machine we could borrow?

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building, and this Sunday, our remote online participation option will be Zoom rather than Facebook Live Stream. Please use the following link to join via Zoom, starting at 11am Central Daylight Time (CDT): https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87286600013?pwd=GlsY4P26PdzdpiEFi5uUBdn0Yb3T2v.1

October 19 – “Our Closets”

October 15, 2025 by Fawn Smith

Coming out services at UUFF have become favorites. We hear from our members and friends about some of the biggest moments in their lives. And through their stories, we explore our own lives and how we have shown to others who we are. Whether a straight ally or queer, this meaningful service isn’t to be missed. Coming out stories will be shared by Maddy Bentley, Benjamin Hilliard, and Ginger Doss. Ginger will also share their music with us along, with Oliver Edge!

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Daylight Time (CDT) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1FRC694Bs7/ and click on “Watch Live Video. October 12 – “UU Core Values: Generosity”

October 8, 2025 by Fawn Smith

How exciting to be kicking off our season of giving with UUFF’s second annual Fall Festival! Rev. Renée will lead us – from the pulpit AND at the keys – in an abbreviated service about the UU Core Value of Generosity! We will then move to our green space to enjoy a BBQ picnic lunch (main dishes provided by UUFF, with members and friends bringing side dishes and desserts – see flyer just below for details on what to bring), spinning by Sooj, various activities, games, raffles, and most importantly – precious time together! It’s going to be a lot of fun!

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Daylight Time (CDT) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/16QjxV6zY5/ and click on “Watch Live Video. September 28 – “Community Healers, Healing Communities.”

September 24, 2025 by Fawn Smith

While our definition of community might change and shift, narrow and broaden, the importance of community remains vital for us human beings. Ozark folk healers have traditionally been pillars of their communities, offering not just medical and psychological care but also spiritual strength in times of great need. Join folklorist and author Brandon Weston in an exploration of the roles traditional healers have played in their Ozark communities and how we can apply their wisdom to our own community involvement today.

September 7 – “Finding Inspiration in our Climate Changing World.”

September 3, 2025 by Fawn Smith

Join us as Darrel Henschell, a local expert on climate and energy, busts climate myths and shares recent real-world examples of hope in our Climate Changing World. He will inspire us with some very local examples of how we can be smarter with energy and put this in the context of what is happening at the state, nation, and world level.
