May 25 – “Belonging As We Are”

May 21, 2025 by Fawn Smith

Alli Johnson will offer a deeply personal and thought-provoking message about living with Moebius Syndrome and what it means to be truly seen, valued, and included. Through honest storytelling and reflection, she’ll explore how our culture defines worth—and how Unitarian Universalism calls us to something more expansive and loving. It’s a service about honoring difference, embracing wholeness, and creating communities where everyone truly belongs.

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Standard Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1C2kkcui52/ and click on “Watch Live Video. May 18 – “The Right Way to Right Speech”

May 14, 2025 by Fawn Smith

Have you ever received advice that you didn’t want? How do you know if you’re truly being helpful when you try to help someone? This service tells the story of Motke the fish peddler, who was helped a little too much by his friends. The story, based on Simms Taback’s version of a Jewish folktale, leads to an exploration of the Buddhist concept of “right speech,“ in which we ask what we can do, in our congregation, to communicate in better and healthier ways.

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Standard Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/16GcM566cp/ and click on “Watch Live Video. May 11 – “Flower Communion”

May 7, 2025 by Fawn Smith

Choosing to focus on beauty and goodness is crucial to our happiness and resilience, especially when there are so many things to fear in our world. When we choose hope and love over fear, tyrants who depend on fear to gain power and maintain control are diminished. This is a form of resistance. Like the flowers themselves, we continue to bloom. Please bring all that you are, all that you feel and a flower or flowers to share if you can. Let us cultivate gratitude in our hearts as we share the tangible beauty of Spring life with one another and take a minute to recognize our amazing Religious Exploration teachers! This is also Choir Sunday!

Choir Members, please gather in the Sanctuary at 9:45am for rehearsal.

April 20 – “Light Your Lamps”

April 16, 2025 by Fawn Smith

The connection between Jesus and his disciples was unusually strong for that time in history. Could that have affected the understanding of the resurrection? Jesus lived in a dark time in history, and his teachings and ideals were bright and full of light. What are our bright lights during dark times today? Choir will sing this Sunday, and we’ll have a special performance by the NWA Raging Grannies. Children are invited to participate in an Egg Hunt after service (rain or shine)!

Choir Members, please gather in the sanctuary at 9:45am for rehearsal!
