December 24th 6pm – “2025 Christmas Eve”

December 21, 2025 by Fawn Smith

Christmas Eve is a lovely annual celebration at UUFF. LeAnda and Rev. Renée are co-creating a service that will mix our usual traditions with a few new festivities that will honor the inner child in each of us. This is a service for all ages – with an ancient story, carols, candles, and surprise; with joy in our hearts and a twinkle in our eyes.

December 14 – “Holiday History: Silent Night”

December 10, 2025 by Fawn Smith

It’s 1818, in the aftermath of the Napoleonic Wars in Austria. It’s Christmas Eve, and the church organ has been damaged by flooding! One young priest asks himself if the poem he wrote at the end of the wars, set to music of a simple guitar, is good enough for the Christmas mass in just a few hours. I’ll bet it didn’t feel like a Silent Night for Father Joseph Mohr!

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Daylight Time (CST) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1BezqQs6uq/ and click on “Watch Live Video. December 7 – “Light and the Winter Holidays”

December 3, 2025 by Fawn Smith

History teaches us that “Light” has been the central component of winter celebrations since the very beginning. As pluralists, we are curious about the similarities and the differences. Join Rev. Renée for a deep dive into the season of the returning light.
