Adults are welcome to join us at 10am each Sunday for a time of facilitated “Mindful Discussion.” There is a new topic each week, and it will be advertised in the weekly eNews the week beforehand. Please reach out to Brooke Eldredge or Kate Kowalski by emailing office@uufayetteville.org if you have specific questions.
Topic this Sunday: “What makes someone a hero?” When we think of heroes, we often picture someone brave, selfless, and inspiring. Heroes come in many forms, from everyday people who perform extraordinary acts of kindness to larger-than-life figures who save the world from destruction. But what exactly makes a hero? What qualities do they possess that set them apart from the rest of us?
According to research, heroes share several key characteristics. They are brave, determined, and have a strong sense of conviction. They are also honest and empathetic and have an excellent capacity for nurturing and protecting others. Heroes often put themselves in harm’s way to help others, and they inspire those around them to be their best selves. Please join us.
