This Sunday, 04/24/2022: Brain Health: “What We Can Do to Optimize Our Cognitive Resilience.”
The Alzheimer’s Association estimates that approximately 6.2 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, the most common form of dementia. This includes roughly 60,000 Arkansans. Nearly two-thirds are women. At this time, it is not clear whether Alzheimer’s can be prevented. However, research indicates that there are lifestyle practices we can all adopt to help reduce our risk, optimize our overall brain health, and increase our cognitive resilience. We hope you’ll join us as we address this important topic.
The ARE discussion is held weekly before Sunday service. It is a facilitated conversation where lively conversation and sharing of personal experience is encouraged. Each week the topic changes and is advertised in our weekly email to congregants.
There is no need to sign up, just join the us at UUFF in the common room downstairs 10am each Sunday morning. Sadly, we are unable to offer a zoom option for participating at this time. Masks are optional and vaccinations are encouraged.
