Holidays and Holy Days

January 1, 2023 – “A UU Way to Holiday: Winter Solstice and Christmas on New Year’s Day.”

December 27, 2022 by Fawn Smith

Weather and other situations beyond our control prevented us from enjoying some planned holiday services, so this Sunday we’ll make up for it by combining holidays! On this New Year’s Day, our service contains Winter Solstice rituals, led by our Web of Life group, and a message from Rev. Steven.

CANCELLED – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services have been cancelled due to safety concerns about the icy conditions around UUFF.

December 22, 2022 by Fawn Smith

As we feared, the snow has not melted since the winter storm that came through on Thursday, and it is obvious that we would be putting folks at risk by holding the Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day Services. As much as we’d love to gather together in community this Holiday Season, his is safety concern that cannot be ignored.

So please stay safe, warm, well, and cozy…and we’ll plan to see everyone on Sunday, January 1, 2023!

Pil Luna - School of Our Ancestors

Lúnasa), this midpoint between Solstice and Equinox, we have left behind the time of longest day and entered the time of greatest heat, of harvest and abundance, but also of the waning of the light. Join us as we celebrate the turning of this joyous season, as Earth’s tilt is taking us back away from the Sun. Various speakers.
