March 29 – “March” Action Sunday!

March 25, 2026 by Fawn Smith

In an era of relentless headlines and political upheaval, a huge No Kings March, and Transgender Day of Visibility, it’s easy to feel like we’re drowning in the “now.” This Sunday is the 5th Sunday, and it is our first “Action Sunday” of 2026. We will have an abbreviated service followed by breakout sessions to DO something. Go downstairs with Gretchen and Janet to write letters and sign petitions for activist work. Stay with Rev. Renée and Kate for a Singing Vigil vibe in the sanctuary to care for self and sing about it all. Or take a moment to walk away and be at peace in the memorial garden and just have some conversation. One hundred percent of money collected during this Sunday’s offering will be shared with New Beginnings NWA (more info below), AND it’s being matched. We aren’t just fighting for a better world; we’re learning how to live in one, too.

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Time (CDT) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1DsjcoW8wB/ and click on “Watch Live Video. A Facebook account is not required for viewing.

This Sunday, we will Share the Plate with New Beginnings NWA! 100% of loose collection plate cash and any specially designated (please write “share plate” on cash envelope or check memo line) will be donated to this wonderful community organization, which is dedicated to “building neighborhoods that end homelessness.” To find out more, please visit https://newbeginningsnwa.org/
