All are invited to gather downstairs in the common area of the fellowship building on Sundays at 10am for a facilitated discussion focused on a specific topic (advertised in the eNews the week before).
Topic this Sunday: “American Views on Climate Change.” In light of the recent devastating storms ravaging the southeast United States, as well as the wildfires impacting the western part of the country, it seems like a fitting time to talk about the issue of climate change. According to a 2023 Pew Research article, a recent report from the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has underscored the need for international action to avoid increasingly severe climate impacts. Steps outlined in the report, and by climate experts, include major reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from sectors such as energy production and transportation. But how do Americans feel about climate change, and what steps do they think the United States should take to address it? Please join us as we discuss this timely and important topic.
