January 26 – “Mutual Aid as a Strategy for Thriving in Challenging Times.”

Mutual aid is a practice centered around sharing resources and services with those around us. It’s the embodiment of “build a longer table, not a higher wall.” Join Katy Wagner for a look into how this model can help each of us build strong, thriving communities in spite of the imperfect world we live in, and envision a life where everyone has what they need.

You can attend service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. Yoga Classes with Shari Withey offered each 2nd and 4th Monday at 6pm!

Classes will still be offered every 2nd and 4th Monday, and Shari has decided to change the start time to 6pm (was 7pm) based on student feedback. These classes are free (donations accepted and appreciated). Shari is a certified yoga instructor, and participants of all experience levels can benefit from these classes.

  • Adult RE Mindful Discussions Group - Sundays at 10am at UUFF!

  • All are invited to gather downstairs in the common area of the fellowship building on Sundays at 10am for a facilitated discussion focused on a specific topic (advertised in the eNews the week before).

    Topic this Sunday: Should the U.S. adopt a “Bill of Obligations”? As Americans, we are used to thinking about our rights. The Bill of Rights is at the center of our Constitution. But is it enough to concern ourselves only with our rights? What, if any, are the obligations of citizens in a democracy? In his 2023 book, The Bill of Obligations, author Richard Haass lays out what he views as 10 obligations for good citizenship. We hope you’ll join us as we discuss the idea of obligations as it relates to being a citizen of a democracy.

  • We are excited to welcome children and youth ages 5+ to kick off this new year of Religious Exploration at UUFF!

    Children ages 5-10 will meet in the large classroom downstairs (former nursery). Melly is the new CRE teacher for Fall 2024! We thank Stephanie Bentley for her amazing service these past several years teaching and leading our children!

    All participants must be registered. We are asking for new registration forms for ALL participants this year so that we can be sure that we have the most up-to-date information possible. You may fill out the form when you drop your child/youth off for their first RE class of the new program year, or use the link below to fill it out in advance.
