We will have a Celebration of Life Service for Jeff Barnes at UUFF on Saturday, June 11th, starting at 1pm. Jeff asked for “fun music and lots of flowers,” so that’s what we are going to do!
There will be a brief ceremony in the sanctuary, with Renée in charge of the “fun music,” Gene doing a short Eulogy, and folks having time to get up and share (briefly!) a favorite memory they have of Jeff. Then we will have snacks and drinks available in the foyer, and those who wish to may gather in the Storla Memorial Garden as Rev. Steven leads us in a ritual of interment and scattering of Jeff’s ashes. We’ll conclude the overall Service with the official dedication of the new “Jeff Barnes Memorial Herb Garden.”
All are welcome to come celebrate the life of Jeffrey Karl Barnes. We ask that you bring a flower or bouquet of flowers if you are able, and we’ll just put them ALL OVER the Sanctuary and lobby, and we can leave them for Sunday, or folks can take them home.
