UUFF’s Welcoming Congregation Task Force will have their first meeting on Sunday, August 6th, beginning at 12:30pm at UUFF.
More details to come. This is the team that is forming to get UUFF re-certified as an official “Welcoming Congregation.” Joanna Person-Michener is heading up the effort. This is a UUA program (visit https://www.uua.org/lgbtq/welcoming/program to find out more about it) for congregations that want to take intentional steps to be more welcoming and inclusive of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. The team has enough members to do what is needed, but if you are just hearing about it and want to participate, you are welcome!
