Date: 05/18/2025
Time: 10:00 am - 10:45 am
Location: Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fayetteville
All are invited to gather downstairs in the common area of the fellowship building on Sundays at 10am for a facilitated discussion focused on a specific topic (advertised in the eNews the week before).
Topic this Sunday: “Being Humble.” Pope Francis was often called “The Humble Pope” due to his humble lifestyle and approach to leadership. His papacy was characterized by a commitment to humility, mercy, and service – particularly towards the poor and marginalized. Pope Leo is also known for this.
C.S. Lewis said: “True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.” Humility disappears because we are so focused on ourselves that we forget to think about others. We forget that we are imperfect as everyone around us. Join us this week as we talk about what it means to be humble in today’s world.
