Time: 10:00 am - 10:45 am
Location: Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fayetteville
All are invited to gather downstairs in the common area of the fellowship building on Sundays at 10am for a facilitated discussion focused on a specific topic (advertised in the eNews the week before).
Topic this Sunday: “How Our Beliefs About Aging Impact How We Age.” In her 2022 book, Breaking the Age Code, Becca Levy, PhD, describes how our beliefs about aging influence our aging process. According to her website, Dr. Levy’s research “demonstrates that many health problems formerly considered to be entirely due to the aging process, such as memory loss, hearing decline, and cardiovascular events, are instead influenced by the negative age beliefs that dominate in the US and many other countries.” We hope you’ll join us as we explore this fascinating topic and discuss how we can challenge negative beliefs and instead embrace the joys of aging. Included in the link below is an article shared by Ralph Depee titled The Surprising Joy of Old Age.
